横浜園の創業者は、外国航路の船長を夫に持つ昭和生まれの女性社長です。柳原良平氏のイラストを配した「みなと横浜七福茶」や「金箔入り有機和紅茶　みなとヨコハマ浜風」は、お持たせにもツカエル人気商品です。アンクルトリスで有名な柳原良平氏のイラストの気品があるのに妙に心に残る印象は、「夫の航海の帰りを待つだけの人生なんてつまらなかったの」と創業の動機をお茶目に語る創業者の笑顔に重なります。
スタッフも女性。だから買う人の立場で、いろいろなサービスが生まれます。お茶の葉をずらりと目で見て選べる買い方ができるのは専門店ならでは。スタッフオススメのお茶を少量ずつ飲み比べられるセットもビギナーさんに人気です。
ソフトクリームも美味。かわいい毛糸のオブジェもスタッフの手作り。ほっこりします。急須で淹れるお茶、始めませんか?
